WRL Project Coordinator
About the Role:
Be a part of the Western Renewables Link (WRL) Project Management team, supporting all streams in the Development phase. WRL is a critical piece of transmission infrastructure required to deliver energy from wind and solar farms in western Victoria to homes across the state and to the National Electricity Market.
As a project coordinator, you will report to the Project Manager Lead with a base location at Southbank, Victoria with occasional travel to Satellite office, Ballarat. We support flexible working practices in a truly hybrid workplace, so we’re happy to discuss what this might look like for you.
What you will deliver:
- Operational management of the highly dynamic field access schedule with exposure to, and coordination of, multiple project streams (Landholder Engagement, Land Acquisition, Planning and Approvals, Design, Delivery and HSEQ) and Delivery Partners (archaeologists, technical specialists, peer reviewers, property valuers, geotechnical surveyors and Registered Aboriginal Parties).
- Management of all activities to allow field access to occur, e.g. ensuring traffic management, necessary permits and access arrangements for both Crown and non-Crown land have been have undertaken.
- Operational management of the Field Access Request Power App tool, managing inputs, running business reporting, and contributing to system improvements.
- Critical thinking applied across multiple stream inputs to determine ‘best for project’ outcomes, highlighting when decision-making is required to ensure scheduling updates are communicated across streams and Delivery Partners in a timely manner.
- Manage risk assessment and reporting across all streams as key input to client contractual reporting.
- Support the Development Project Manager, Land. And the process of continual improvement and helping build capability within the business for future mega-project delivery.
- Actively engaging with stakeholders and maintain awareness of relevant legislation, laws, regulations, standards, codes and AusNet policies and procedures.
- Embody a safety-first culture through contributing to Recordable Injury Frequency Rate targets, Safety and environment incident reporting and team mental health awareness.

This is a fast-paced role with opportunity to progress quickly for the right person. You will have:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Minimum 5 years of Project Controls experience in delivery of infrastructure, renewables or energy projects.
- A high level of organisational skills and demonstrated effectiveness handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Strong writing and editing skills; comfortable working across different media inclusive of presentations, correspondence and email.
- High level competency in MS Project and Excel with understanding of structured and unstructured data and how to gain insights.
- Knowledge of SAP, Power BI and risk analysis tools
- Relevant experience in Infrastructure, Operations, Logistics, field access, Energy, Program, Cost and Consultancy, or similar.
